My DAT test is on the 28th. Now, I know about each section on the test and what order they come in, but i am a little confused about the whole intro tutorial and 15 min break. My testing center said they will give me two sheets of paper (or a black board, not sure?). Now if they give me the papers, can i write some o chem reaction and formulas on it during my intro 15 min? and at the end of the science section, can I ask for more papers and during my break, write some PAT tips and also QR formulas? If you have taken the test, please let me know how this whole situation is. thank you. also if you have good feedbacks about the papers they give you, dont hesitate to share.

First of all, the science and PAT sections are consecutive, meaning you can't go on break between them. Yea I know it sucks but this is how it is. Now you can write the formula you want to use during the 15 min tutorial. The boards they give you are most likely laminated ones, and you can't erase them...Then after the science and PAT section you get 15 min break. If you get back early you can put new formula on the newly acquired sheets (assuming you exhausted your old ones during science and PAT). Then you take reading and math, and there's no break between them. The paper (laminated) suck, you got 2 every time so you got 4 sides to write on but one of the two sides has grids on them and maybe 1/6 of the space are some useless instructions. So manage your space well.

You walk into the testing room with 2 sheets. You have 15 minutes of tutorial to prepare. If you want to write some chem formulas or draw some stuff for pat do it in these 15 min. Then once tutorial ends you have 90 mins for science and 60 min for PAT. No breaks at all. In fact if you take all 90 minutes it won't even pop up a message, it'll just boot you to the PAT section.

Now after PAT you have 15 minutes. I strongly recommend you use this break to go to the bathroom, eat a light snack and drink some water...you'll probably still have time left to swap your two used sheets for two shiny new ones! If you really want to you can put down some QR forumlas on one, but I recommend keeping at least 1 whole sheet to make notes for RC. After that just finish RC in 60 min and QR in 45 min. Get your awesome score and go home!

Wow that's intense that PAT pops up the second science ends.
So for RC and QR, the grid sides are useless and technically you only have the other 2 sides to work with, 1 for reading and 1 for math?
You needed an entire sheet just for RC notes?
