I have already taken the DAT last year and got a 19 on it. I am planning on taking it again since my science GPA (3.2) is a little low for applicants and it seems like I need a higher DAT score in order to get in. I plan on taking it early August (August 10th hopefully). I plan on having my application filled out and ready to go middle of July and was wondering if this is too late of a date for the DAT. I don't want to rush it and take it when i don't feel I am ready but I am scared that I am taking it too late and that it will hurt my application process. Advice greatly appreciated. Thank you

I took my DAT on August 12th and my application was considered complete by September 5th, which with my stats I feel it was a little bit late. I wouldn't submit your application until everything is ready because I think a large reason I didn't get a lot of interviews was not only since my GPA was a little low, but I submitted an incomplete app without my DAT so I think my app might have been forgotten/lost in the cracks.

I don't think it's too too late. Submit your current score, but also list the date of your next test so that they know you're going to retake it.

Actually, listen to swindoll, this is a MUCH better option. That way the schools get your app, then see you're going to retake. Some schools will offer you an interview and give you either acceptances or conditional acceptances depending on what you get!
