For those who've already taken the DAT...I hear that the math is one of the most difficult sections on the DAT. How much percent of the math section were word problems? any suggestion and advice would help al ot. Thanks.

I haven't took the DAT yet, but from my practice exams, math is THE easiest section. Those problems are very similar to SAT math problems with no calculus and just basic arithmetics.
Alot of problems are like the same format, so just do more practice i guess....good luck

Math section is cake. All you need to do is spend 1/20th the time you spend on any of the other sections and you are golden. It is much easier than the SAT Math. I think that the key thing you need to remember is that if you don't know how to solve the problem, eliminate the answers that you can. I found that I could go through every answer to see if it would fit as the correct and basically eliminated all but one most of the time. Good Luck!

it was pretty similar to the SAT math i think, i used a SAT Math workbook... it's really simple math... just do some practice problems...don't do kaplan's stuff (if you're taking Kaplan that is, it's way too hard and a waste of time...)

The math was the best part of the DAT. I mean I just sat there and thoroughly enjoyed it because its the longest break you'll have during the DAT. Its easy. How easy? easy enough that i finished with about half an hour remaining. Seriously.

Best way to prep for it, is the kaplan review or the practice exam that is in the DAT packet (the one which has the application, its similiar to a newspaper insert, the math problems in there are a good indication). If you want the Top score CD has math as well. But they made it a bit tougher..........
