Hi Guys!
I started studying for the DAT last week and I am putting in 14 hours a day. I am using the following resources:
AP Cliff notes
DAT Destroyer
KBB
Chad's videos
Crack DAT PAT
Qvault BIO
Math minor, and high score (25) on KBB practice test, therefore I think I can put of QR for a bit.
I was originally planning on taking the DAT in May, a few weeks before I apply. But I can not imagine myself remembering all this info till then...
So now I am planning on taking it about 40 days from now. I am studying for BIO, GCHEM, and OCHEM, 4 hours each, daily. And I'm doing PAT 2 hours before bed. SOooo... do you guys think this will be enough time to prepare and do well on the exam? I am aiming for a 25+, but I would be fine with a 23. My CGPA is about 3.35 and my sGPA is 3.1(Due to the math minor). So this is why I need to do well. I haven't taken OCHEM 2 yet either 🙁
I have taken OChem 1, GCHEM, Genetics, Physiology and BIO 1 and 2. I'm taking OCHEM 2 and Cell bio next semester.
So is it a good idea to take this exam in 40 days? My only worry is that I am definately going to forget Bio and GCHEM by May...
Also, it seems that the AP cliff book doesn't cover everything. What topics did you guys have to study seperately? I am using the destroyer and making flashcards too. Also, I'm taking notes from KBB and Cliff at the same time, in case I miss something.

Hm... I would give myself more time😛 Just the Destroyer alone would take you a while to get through

Hi! I finished quite a bit of destroyer already 😀 . I'm in the 200s range for Bio. Doyou think that not having OCHEM 2 will have an affect?I am taking 15 credits and doing research next semester, so I'm sure I won't be able to study for the DAT.And I wait till may, I am going to forget everything 🙁

some reactions you need from ochem 2, however you can learn the more important ones via youtube. There are only a handful

yeah, i gone through bio pretty quick too, and went through math destroyer at a decent speed too. but chem and orgo is taking me a while. i feel like if you can do like 50 questions from each section a day, you will forget those subjects. and then longer you have, obviously the more time you will have to study and that's always good 🙂 but people have done in in 4 weeks and still did well, i guess it all boils down to how good of a foundation you have 🙂 it has been almost 10 years since I last learned these material :s

When are you planning on taking it? I'm kinda flying through chemistry due to chads videos, quizzes and the destroyer. Destroyer is tough, but good practice. The keyhole and top front end are holding be back 🙁

Yeah, i went through chad's chem and orgo in like 2 week, but i might have to go over destroyer 4 times to get everything or close to everything 🙂 for keyholes, and tfe, youtube other peoples' tutorials if you havent done so already, they make pat a lot easier
