I have read a lot of old posts about qVault reading. Many people said it is too easy because it has too many S&D questions, questions are in order, overly long passage, and not many tone questions. I have taken three practices so far, it does have a lot of search and destroy questions. However, the questions are not really in order, and some passages do have a lot of tone questions (not as difficult as CDR). The passage length ranges from 1100 to 1500, so it is also similar to the real one. I looked at the 2009 test, and its RC is very similar to qvault. I don't know what happened, but I qvault RC looks pretty similar to the real DAT to me.
Can someone who recently took the DAT and used qvault RC say something about the similarity between those tow?

Yes! It defs resembles dat qvault. And reading you better try bootcamp very similar questions of style

Are the passages on the real thing shorter? I dont understand why everyone said the qvault passages are too long.

Well I had 13 paragraphs , 7 paragraphs, and another 13.
How do you feel about the actual length though? Paragraph numbers sometimes are indicative of the actual length. Some of the qvault passages have 20 paragraphes, but they are only 1500 words long

ah no then it is much shorter. and the questions are more straightforward!!!! =D i will definitely do the same method i did today on the exam which was read a bit then the search / destroy. but there were some questions that i couldn't understand so i marked it however i ran out of time to review them but surprisingly still got a 20!!!!

ok so...... somebody make a final decision cause my test is Monday and I need to know which RC resource I will more than likely not use!!! Just messing but for real, I took it this past september and in Aug of 2010. Ironically one out of 3 passages I had was the EXACT ONE as my test in 2010!!! But the other 2 passages I had to translate cause one was written in Arabic and the other hieroglyphics. So should I use Qvault, 2009 ada, or rosetta stone for the last time I practice Rc?

Wait, can we re-elaborate the comparison between QVault RC and the Real Dat? I took 4 QVault RC tests and got 21, 24, 24, 22 and took 2 Bootcamp Reading tests and got 19 on both. Can I expect 20+ on the real thing?
