DAT RC Help Needed!

English is my second language and Last time I took DAT and I had 15 on RC. I am very slow reader. I tried reading whole passage and answering questions but I ended up referring back to passage. Using Search and destroy method , I am at risk of being unfamiliar with passage.
Can any one tell me how to improve?

just keep practicing and try to find the method that works for you

I read the title of the passage and try to get a feeling of how will the passage might be organized.
like for passages on disease, most of the passages start with some statistics and general information of the disease, then the cause of disease, symptoms of the disease, then the diagnosis, then how to cure, and then some conclusions.
for historical passages, you have a different "general" trend.
That method worked very well when I was practicing but the real DAT was a little harder with the wording on the answer choices which confused me a lot, ending with a lower score than expected.

Like what I did, just practice and develop your own method or try to use other's methods to improve your skills to answer DAT questions.
DAT is measuring how much you are prepared.
