DAT registering-how many schools to put?

When registering to take the DAT, the form asks you which school you want to send your scores to. I know the first few are included and then its extra for any after that. If I want to wait to see what my score is to add schools can I do that and is it more expensive? Does it take longer for my schools to get it then?

I guess basically I'm asking that my final list of schools is not set yet and depending on my score it might change so how do I decide which schools to send my scores to right now when I register for the DAT?

Also, don't you have to pay again anyways when you send your official application?

Sending your application is not the same as sending you DAT. You pay to have your application sent, and then you pay again to have your DAT scores sent. You can add schools once you've taken the test, it might take a little bit longer to get t them, but if you add them right after your test date, I doubt it will make any difference. If you know for sure that you will be applying to certain schools regardless of your DAT score, then put down those schools before the test, and wait to add the rest. It's not more expensive to add schools after the test, but I'm not sure if you still get 5 free schools - you might, I just wouldn't know - maybe someone else does? ...

I'm doing something similar. When I registered for my DAT I put down 5 schools at the time that I knew I was going to apply to. Then once I take the DAT depending on how I do, I will either re-take or call and add the other 10 schools I'm applying to. I figured if I did bad the first time, then I wasted that extra 10 schools x $25 per school (over the first 5 free). It still takes 2 or so weeks from the DAT to mail your report so calling in that same day or day after you take the test to add more schools won't hold things up too much.
