Hi, I'm wondering if anyone could lend me some few words of wisdom when it comes to registering/studying for the DAT test.

I have a couple questions concerning the gengeral test material and what to expect for the format of the test as this is ALL new to me and is pretty overwhelming yet exciting at the same time.

Just another thing, is it possible to register for the DAT this June and take it this coming November or February.. is it possible.. or recommended...

Do they send you exact texts to study from or do you need to purchase them yourself...

Is it bad to have only one school of choice when registering??

If anyone has any past experiences or knowledge whatsoever, i'll be glad to hear it...

Thanks.

Yes, you can register in June and not take it until Nov or Feb, but why? If you take it in Feb. you will most likely not get in anywhere since that is past the time they will accept anything and most classes are already filled.
No the do not provide study material, you have to get that on your own.
Bad Idea to only register for one school because unless you have phenomenal stats you might not get in especially with a late DAT.
Hope this helps. Some good study material is; Kaplan books, acethedat.com, topscore pro, barrons review books, schaums reviews, and old text books.

Study at least 8 hours a day for 3 months...the test is not hard...you just have to know the material....it's like a puzzle...you need to put all the parts together to score well....kaplan is good but don't rely on it...their computer test are not consistent with the real test......also.....make sure you get a new video card on the computer you take the test or the PAT section will be not as detailed and you won't score as high........if you are not taking kaplan....go to a library for 3 months and go over the kaplan book 20 times......and hire a tutor for the stuff you don't know...also....write down the stuff you don't know as you are studying and go over that stuff.....good luck....and remember that your score will reflect the time you put into it

OMG, are you kidding...oh well, I guess it's different for everyone. I'm thinking of studying a month for it and just take it.
