DAT Retake and next cycle?

Hello guys,
I just took my DAT and this is my score:

PAT: 22
QR : 18
RC:16 😡
Bio : 18
GC: 19
OC: 19

TS: 18
AA: 18

My overal GPA :3.6
Science GPA hasn't been calculated yet..
100 hrs shadowing, and 100 hrs volunteering,
Working experience 3 years at doctor's office.( as a receptionist at PT office.)
BS in Health Service Administration & AAS in Radiologic Technology..

I am wondering if I need to take DAT again (b/c of low score on RC ) and apply for next cycle..?

Or

Should I give a shot to some schools not many ( I dont want to waste money to apply schools I feel like I am not a strong competetent for ) ?

I am lost..... PLEASE give me advise...

Is the rest of your app 100% complete? Are you set on certain schools or are you okay with just getting in (which might lead to huge debt)?

just apply. You have a slightly low DAT. If you can get a 20 on a retake then im sure you'll get in somewhere.

I would say apply! I'll be applying next cycle with a 3.4 gpa sci and overall and 18AA 19TS 23PAT. So keep me posted on how ya do! So many people say a 20 AA is a must so lets prove them wrong.

I would definitely apply to at least a few schools. You never know until you try.

Is the rest of your app 100% complete? Are you set on certain schools or are you okay with just getting in (which might lead to huge debt)?

I'm still processing my application.. but I'll submit it by this weekend..
I will be very happy just getting in dental schools...
I really want to be a dentist.!! no matter what schooll!

I have near identical scores (lower GPA but a 21 RC). I've received interviews already. I would suggest that you apply to safety schools and maybe one or two "reach" schools, then if no luck, apply next cycle after retaking.

And even though our scores are very similar, your situtation is better than mine because my RC score is very low, (may be cutoff )..
that's what I worry the most..
But I def. will try to apply to "safety schools" (aka dream schools for my situtation).

O no problem. I still have 3 semesters left in undergrad and I wanted to take my DAT ASAP because I want to have all my stuff together so I can be in the first batch. I see so many people at school and on these fourms freaking out about getting their DAT and app togther so i wanted to be ready early.I could have applied this cycle but I would have to take 18+ units and summer school but I would rather wait and get everything together. " piss poor planning equals piss poor performance" gotta live by that lol👍 good luck buddy!! Like I said keep me posted and rock the interviews!!
