I am a new member and I need help. I took the DAT for the first time and didn't do good, (AA 16 🙁 PA 17🙁 ). I am planning on retaking it in about 3 months. I only studied Kaplan. I recently bought DAT destroyer is there anything else I should study or buy that will help me? Also I read through the forums and someone posted that they used Alan's notes and Chad's videos. If someone can send the notes to me and post the website for the videos I would really appreciate guys.

With a AA 16, i would make sure you kill it the 2nd time. Just search through all of the threads that say "DAT Breakdown" to read on material/advice for different sections.

Since you are not applying until next cycle i would plan on giving yourself some serious study time between now and then. I wouldn't retake until you consistently are getting above 18 on every section. Take lots and lots of timed practice tests. Topscore Pro, Achiever, Kaplan section tests... If you retake and only get a 17AA, dental schools may think you are not fit for dental school so make sure you give yourself all the time to be prepared.

ok... Now what... dont give up... something is wrong with your study habits...

I have not taken my dat either but here are something that will help you...
That is the link to chads videos::: MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD CHEM AND OCHEM.... HE drills in the material into you... so when you watch these videos before and then read those kaplan notes you will have better understating. MAKE SURE YOU TAKE NOTES NO MATTER WHAT... also keep separate things needed to be memorized etc...

The second website I would like you to have is BIOLOGY ANIMATIONS... why read when you can watch videos and understand them before reading. So def. Watch animations and then read.... this website has all the bio animations that one could think off.

I would suggest KAPLAN course it costs ~1100 bucks ONLINE LIVE... so you can just watch it live at home...its interesting different from online kaplan. LOTS OF PRACTICE MATERIAL... also you pat is low... so do something about it...
People on these forums pray to crackdat PAT.

Math is just practice and lots of formulas and timing....
to sum it all up take a kaplan course.

make sur eyou really utilize the destroyer. maker sure you understand every single question in the book. I studied with 10 different books but the destroyer was the only hting that really helped me get the scores i did in the sciences.

If you took Kaplan, and did all of the required materials (the ones in red online) and attended all the classes, then you can continue to use the materials again for free by invoking the higher score guarantee.

I would suggest you look into this, especially if you did not use all of them last time. Be sure to use them all and I think you will likely perform better.
