DAT Retake question/not about subject material

if i am retaking the dat in midjanuary for this cycle (no need to comment on lateness or anything pertaining to lateness), should i contact the schools whose deadlines are after this date and let them know i am retaking the dat so that they may make a decision based on my second dat scores? i know that none of us are adcoms, but i'm wondering if anyone has done anything like this. i'm sure i should just contact the schools anyways, but i just would like to know anyone's opinions. thanks.

I'm in the same boat, will take the DAT in mid-Jan and I'm sure there got to be more than 2 of us in the same situation, anybody have any suggestions?
