when it comes to retaking the dat exam, do dental schools look at the best of each section? or do they look at the overview of the best retake?

Majority of the schools only consider the most recent scores, regardless of them being lower or higher than the 1st attempt. Few schools will look at the super scores as you mentioned

rework your study schedule! implement DAT destroyer and bootcamp (these are crucial). focus and study hard and your second score will be so good the dental schools will only care about that one! you can do this!

According to @doc toothache Guide, on page 27, it lists how each dental school handles multiple DAT scores from the same applicant.
