DAT Retake

I am currently studying to retake the DAT. Planning to take it in mid July or so.
I applied this past cycle and was waitlisted at 3 schools, 2 of those said that a retake of the DAT would greatly benefit me.

My question is, I want to apply as early as possible, but I am not sure what to do about the DAT scores?
Should I put my old scores on my application, and then update when I get the retake scores?
Should I just wait to apply until after the retake?

My advice is be smart and strategic: submit your application and then update your scores later.

If you wait too long, you'll be considered late in the application pool. Best of luck!

I agree, I would not apply until the scores are solidified, the main focus right now should be raising your score from a 15. I would not spend money to apply until you have the score that will get you into dental school.

Thank you for the response! In that case, my best bet is to apply after taking the DAT again in September and scoring higher. I'll spend more time building foundational knowledge to perform better and possibly getting a tutor to teach me o-chem (where I'm the weakest)

I used Organic Chemistry Odyssey before jumping into DAT Destroyer and DATBooster, and it made all the difference. I was surprised at how much I had forgotten, and it was adding stress to my studying. Once I got comfortable in the foundations, then I did practice questions and saw an increase in how much I could recall.

I think you replied to me on reddit! What I've decided is that I'm going to use the Dynamite Bio Review/DATBooster for reviewing/studying all content and then use DAT Destroyer to put my knowledge to the test. I also need to look into OC Odyssey because like I said before that's where I'm the weakest :/. I have three months until I can retake my DAT, so I gotta get to work !

HA! I probably did 🙂 I definitely think you'll see fast improvements after OC Odyssey.
