Right now I'm a Junior with a 3.0 GPA but I WILL bring that GPA up as high as I possibly can for my fall and spring semester.
My Extracurriculars are strong in leadership/lab/shadowing aspects.

I want to go to VCU dental where the average is 19 and PAT is 18

whoops sorry here's my take on what prepped me:

So I took the kaplan online course and the online resources were definitely a good resource when you're just starting your DAT studying. It was a good foundation on what to expect and it definitely helped me discipline.

Biology: Kaplan online courses, Cliffs (although I think kaplan was sufficient)

General Chemistry: Kaplan online courses. DAT destroyer. I must say..DAT destroyer is really underrated..I didn't know it was such a great resource! It's definitely something that was great after kaplan that pushed me more. I wish I knew about it sooner than later because I only got to glance at the GC part of the destroyer

Organic Chemistry: I LOVE CHAD"S VIDEOS. I didn't buy all of it. Just like two videos on my weakest spots. Which I recommend. Kaplan course was again a good basic review and then DAT destroyer just made everything 10x better

PAT: CRACK DAT PAT. nuff said

QR: Kaplan but..I think I should have done a lot better. for kaplan practice tests I always got 20+ and then a 17..? They threw in a lot of probability (p-value) and trig which kaplan didnt emphasize on...I'm not sure what else I could have done. Maybe I should have looked at the QR for DAT destroyer

RC: Kaplan but this is just my fault. I suck at reading and I should have read more for this section. I'm not sure how you really prepare except practice quizzes but kaplan only had like a couple

I would say you most likely need to do a retake. Your DAT is average but you have a low gpa. I personally dont think you can increase your gpa that much in one year before you apply in the summer.

What is your sci gpa, is it around your cum gpa?

I think you will need to at least get a 20 AA

If you were going to 4.0 your entire senior and the rest of your junior year... then you might be able to push that GPA overall and science to 3.2-3.3 levels.

3.2-3.3 GPA(s) along with 18AA puts you at a "decent" advantage to get accepted somewhere.... I dunno if VCU is the answer, but given your stats, I'd aim at 15+ schools when applying.

Good luck to you
