August is already not on the early side, but not on the late side, especially if you have strong stats. Two weeks will honestly not make too much of a difference. Have you received confirmation from all the schools about the retake and whether they will wait on your new scores?

The majority of them replied saying they made a note of it in my application, and i think a couple of them said they will wait for my new scores, and one said they will re-review it with my new ones. I decided to extend another 2 weeks just for practice problems since i wasn't doing much of them.

find out what schools accepted a faxed copy of the unofficial score report, then after you take the dat, fax the results to those schools and that way you can at least get someone to look at your file (assuming you've already e-submitted and had your GPA verified and sent out your file to designated schools)
