Just took my dat. Didn't do swell...Based on SDN Standards.

AA/TS/PAT/BIO/GC/OC/RC/QR
20/22/17/20/24/22/16/18

Background Info:
Chem Eng (senior)
sGPA: 3.43
oGPA: 3.5
Research (6 months)
Average Volunteering/Shadowing/etc

Looking for some feedback. Tbh I was surprised by my pat score to be so low. I'm really upset with my QR as I was missing only 4 or 5 on math destroyer. My brain stop functioning after I realized I bombed the RC. I want to apply next cycle, my main choice is Maryland (in-state). But it seems they have an 18 and above policy for their DAT.

Im wondering if schools actually accept these stats. I want to stay mostly on the east coast. And really don't want to retake unless I have to.

Any feedback (positive and negative) would be great.

Why are you taking DAT as a dental student?

u said it urself... if u want to get into maryland u need to retake ... if u are fine with any dental school check which ones dont have a minimum requirement and apply to those... since ur appyling next cycle u can take ur time and decide what u want to do

If there is a strict cut off, you're going to have to retake if Maryland is the only option you're truly considering. Sadly, that's just how it goes. 🙁 Check with any other schools you're considering to see if they have any cut offs, too.
