but I did worse than the last one i took,,
would this have negative effect on my application?
and do you know if the schools take the highest score or the most recent test score?

usually the most recent score is looked upon, but sometimes its the highest score, depends on the schools

Call the Schools you are applying to and ask...

From my understanding most schools will take the better of the 2, So if your first one was better, they will probably take that.
