Well, what do you guys think is a solid DAT score for someone who has 3.45 GPA to be accepts to NYU, Tufts, UMDNJ, Boston?
would 20TS/20AA/20PAT be good enough to get me accepted? would 19 in any section be safe or will it hurt?

Here are my stats:
3.45 oGPA, 3.44 sGPA
5 time dean's list
school of arts and sciences dean's scholarship
genetics gene mapping research
500+ dental assisting
2 school clubs
basketball intramurals placed 4th
SAT private tutoring
taught SATII math for SAT academy
4 good LORS (2 from science, 1 from math, 1 from dentist)

...No one has answered yet so I figured I'd share with you my experience with a similar gpa.

I applied with a 3.5 20/23/21 (B: 23, C: 23, O: 22, R:19, Q: 15, P: 21) I got interviewed and accepted to NYU and Tufts (along with Stony and Maryland) but nothing - not even an interview - from UMDNJ and BU (even after doing UMDNJ's Gateway program).

I'd tell you that no one will argue with a 21 AA... it seems to be the magic number these days. If you can get there, you should be good to go. The only concern you could have on top of that is standing out. Many people with the same numbers apply every year... write a kick a** personal statement and make them want to meet you!

Good luck!

well all three schools you are about average with those stats. and nyu accepts like a billion people so you should be set. But i would not get my hopes up to be selected first round, with those stats youll probably be a second pick after jan. 15th.

ps howd you get dean's list with a 3.45 dont you need a 3.5 or better?

^^.. To the dean's list question, he could have gotten 3.5 or better during 5 semesters but during the others, it could have been lower which would bring his overall gpa down to 3.45. I think

Yea.. well my school's dean's list is over 3.4 GPA.. so I've had 5 semester over 3.4 GPA.. that's how I got 5 time dean's list.

When should I take DAT to be picked for the first round interview???
Would mid July good time to take it???

I think you're safe with a 20. you might even have a decent shot with 19 if you have some extra curricular and leaderships

I had a 3.5o/3.5s gpa and 20 DAT. My interviewing skills aren't the best, but I got 6 interview invitations and accepted at Tufts on Dec 1.

You should only take the DAT when you're ready, but ideally, you should take it in May and submit your app the 1st week of June.

But I thought it takes awhile for aadsas to process my transcript, so that's why it's perfect to take DAT at the early July. is't it?
And DAT is editable on apps page after I submit it.

July is a little late. The perfect time is early May, because you're scores will be processed by the time the AADSAS application opens on June 1st.

and aadsas will not send the apps to dental schools untile everything is processed.
So wouldn't like.. late June be okay in terms of getting everything on time?
If not, can I still be considered as a first round interview even if i take the test on late june or early july?
