I dont understand why people think 19's are the worst thing in the world. As long you don't have a gpa below a 3.0 a 19 is definitely a good score. You don't need 23+ to get into dental school, It's basically a guranteed interview, buts its not necessary. I'm sure you'll be able to get an interview at some schools, especially in stater's.

3.0 does not cut it anymore... you need a 3.3 in both BCP and sGPA... you can see people w/ excellent dat scores being rejected just for that reason alone... you can see it where have you heard from thread in pre-dental forum.
On my application boston univ said: quote: Generally, interviewed candidates have an overall cumulative GPA both total and science of a 3.3 or above and their DAT academic average and total science is at 20 or above. This is a general guide; many other factors come into our consideration of a...
Meh... I think stats get way blown out of proportion here in SDN. You have to remember this forum is only a small percentage of the people who apply to dental school and the people who post are even a smaller percentage. Looking through the incoming class averages and dat scores for various schools I saw that they were way lower than whats seen both on SDN and Predents. Obviously a good gpa score and DAT score are still necessary to get in, along with a good interview if you get chosen to do so but in the end a person with a 19AA score that got in and finished dental school is just as good as a 23AA score that got in and finished.
