I know that ADA says that it takes 3 weeks after you take your DATs for the scores to get to the schools. I confirmed with ADA that my scores were sent over a month ago (5 weeks since I took the DATs) and the schools still don't have my scores. I called UOP, Arizona, UCSF and they checked my file - but nothing! no scores. Should I be worried? What should I do? 😕 Did anyone else have the same problem?

Call the ADA and tell them what happened. Then get them to send them *again*, but see if there's a way for you not to have to pay for it. Since none of the schools got it, I highly doubt htat they lost your scores.

how long has it been since you've taken the DAT. and did you call up every school to check whether or not they have your scores?

I took the DAT on Sept. 9, which is about 5 weeks ago. I called several schools, but some of them I can't get a hold of. None of them have my scores. I guess I'll have to call ADA to try to convince them to resend my scores. Other wise, it's another $100 🙁

wow theres no way you should have to be paying to have them send your scores again. i would definitely give them a call in the morning and straighten this out before its too late.

Why haven't you faxed your scores to your schools?? Granted not all schools will accept faxed scores but a fair amount do. Last year I faxed my scores to 75% of my schools and my application was considered complete, contingent upon the official copy from the ADA, but complete enough to get interviews. If you fax your scores, my schools wanted the notarized copy that you recieved from the Prometric site the day you took your test.

Thanks for the advice. I didn't know that they would accept a faxed copy.
Should I be calling all the schools to check to see if my file is complete? Do you know if they would get annoyed if I called to check on my status? (Some schools like Arizona and UOP have a website for you to check your status, but I haven't heard anything from some of the other schools except e-mails telling me to pay the secondary fee) Thanks!

As soon as I finished my DAT I called every school I applied to and found out which ones would accept faxed scores, as I was also in a similar situation as you, taking my DAT around September. The worst their going to say is that we won't accept them, but they could tell you to fax them your scores which results in your application being complete, or closer to complete. Look at it this way, for the schools that do accept faxed scores your application could have been complete a month ago. It's definatley worth the call. This late in the cycle you really need to be as proactive as possible IMO.

Most schools I dealt with last year were very helpful and understanding when checking to make sure that my file was complete.

thanks for your help, eric275. I appreciate it!
