DAT Score report

This question has been asked many times, but within all those time.... there was no 100% answer. On the TMDSAS website, it says that I need to tell ADA to send my score report to the TMDSAS and the schools. On the school website, it says I need to tell ADA to send score reports to BOTH TMDSAS and AADSAS. I called ADA, and the lady who picked up told me to call a different number... but when I called, the person was out for lunch.

So, should I just bite the bullet and pay $50 to send official score reports to both TMDSAS and AADSAS? Anyone know how the score report works?

When you signed up to take the test, do you remember the screen where you selected the schools you wanted to release your scores to? It said this:

Unless there's a school you didn't select that you want to add, or there is a school who specifically wants an official paper copy from the ADA (most consider what the get through AADSAS as official), you shouldn't have to pay anything at this point.

Thanks 🙂 But I signed up during the time when you can only pick 5 schools for free. Do you think I still need to pay to send score reports to TMDSAS and AADSAS since I had the cheaper version of the DAT registration?

I'm not even sure there is a way to send it just to the application services again. As far as I can tell, if you paid to take the test, both services have them (although they might not appear yet).

I don't know how TMDSAS works, but for AADSAS you do not need to pay money to ADA to release scores. According to AADSAS if you selected at least ONE school that participates in ADEA AADSAS while registering for your DAT, your official scores will be sent to AADSAS and will be forwarded to all the schools you applied to under AADSAS. Also if you take a look at their revised supplemental information (revised 7/22) you will see that none of the schools have "official scores sent directly by ADA" under the requirements. So I think its safe to assume that AADSAS scores are sufficient enough (they are actually official scores anyways since they retrieve it from your DENTPIN).
