Good job dude. Don't sweat the perceptual. If you're a Georgia resident and have those kind of scores, you have great chances of getting into MCG. I'm pretty sure that they do indeed see the percentages, but I dunno for sure.

Weird, I got 17 on the PAT as well, but my percetile was 72%. Do schools see the percentiles?

Bio - Some REALLY strange questions pulled totally out of left field
GC - virtually NO calculations (all answers left as terms)
OC - No tricks really (except there was on really long synthesis like 6 steps)
RC - Pretty good
PAT - Hard to say without seeing what i missed
QR - must have been tricky - thought i did better

It has to do with standard deviations (like a normally distributed curve aka bell curve). For example, supposedely the score "17" ranges from 52-58 correct answers on the PAT. Obviously, someone with 58 correct will rank in the higher percentile [of everyone else that has taken the DAT] than will a person who answered 52 correct. However, these two individuals are given the same numerical score of 17.
I'm in a similar position as the OP - I got a 22/17 and my PAT percentile was 50.7 as well - we must've gotten the same number of questions correct. It is definitely to our advantage if the percentiles are not shown to the schools, being that people in the 72nd percentile are also getting 17's. I remember somebody on another thread saying that the percentages are not included on the official form to the schools. Does anybody know about this for sure?

Apparently, the percentiles are just for our own use.
Taco: Great job on the DAT. Don't sweat the PAT score, that is very good. Also, welcome to the 29 club! That is a sweet score in OChem. And, all of your other scores are very high too. You probably won't even be asked about a 17 on your PAT.

man i wouldn't even sweat it, your AA and your gpas are stellar! you'll get into mcg for sure..congrats! just curious how did u prepare for organic in order to do so well? im worried im going to do horribly on that section

Was g chem and biology a lot easier then kaplans review tests? im sick of looking at these huge conversions and weird numbers when there may be no point in doing it.

man, all you have to do now is to really decide where you'd like to go for dental school. it will really be up to you. you'd probably be the 1st person any of those school to interview.
as for faxing your scores, yes you should fax them right away. the %'s will not matter.

(100 x 49)/(.0821)(3) They are not actual numbers! (this caught me kinda off guard). For biology umh its a lot less intensive than the review tests but its way more general. For instance i could pound out every reaction glucose goes through in glycolysis and the krebs cycle, but you won't get ?s like that you will get something like which process produces the most atp/glucose

Ace the dat is good in 2 areas
1) Hard PAT (and i still did kinda poorly) with explanations
2) Good QR Section (very realistic)
Ace the dat's main weakness is Many errors (although most are obvious)
I would have to say topscore is better than acethedat if you had to pick one, but together they are really good
Optimally here is what i would do for studying purposes only (you also need test simulation as much as possible)
Bio - kaplan + outline book (like schaums) for taxonomy/ecology
Chem - Kaplan + kaplan problems
Orgo - Kaplan + kaplan problems
RC - Kaplan and topscore
PAT - Everything you can get your hands on (topscore, barrons, acethdat, kaplan, princeton review)
QR - Kaplan, Barrons (a few good forumulas), GRE Math Review (free online), acethedat
