Here's the run down:

PA 17
QR 16
RC 23
BI 16
GC 15
OC 16
TS 16
AA 17

My GPA is a 3.71 with many hours of observing and shadowing. What are my chances??

If you are a minoprity and are applying to Howard and Meharry then you ahve a shot. Otherwise forget about it you arent getting in with those scores. Save your money and retake.

I'm going to try my luck with these and try to be confident/lucky. I studied a long time and I think my undergrad work will be a strong indicator of how I will do in dental school.

The above posters are trying to be honest. The chances of getting in with a 17/16/17 is VERY LOW. Whats best it to retake and to notify your schools ASAP that your retaking or else they might just all toss you application.

best wishes

good luck

I used the Kaplan book, Crack DAT, and Top Score. Studied for about a month and a half while also working 40 hrs a week. It would definitely suck to have to take this beast again, especially during the school year....Crossing my fingers!

Are you a minority?
Most schools will say your gpa doesn't match your DAT score.

If worse comes to worst, just keep your spirits up and go at it again. You definitely don't want to get rejected and have to wait a whole year to apply again....

Play it safe and go for a retake!
