Hi guys. I just took my DAT for the first time and received: 25 PAT, 23 RC, 20 Bio, 22 G-chem, 17 O-Chem, 17 QR which means a 20 Total Science and 20 AA.
I am a non-traditional dental applicant as I have a degree in economics, philosophy, political science. I graduated with a 3.36 from a 4 year in 2005 and a year and a half ago started my pre-requisites for dental school at a local community college. I have gotten a 4.0 in my gen chem, bio and physics thus far but have yet to even start my organic chemistry, etc (which is actually why I am pleased with a 17 in o-chem since I had to teach myself from a book).
First of all, do you think these scores stand out as quality and secondly, any input on non-traditional students and pre-req load? At worst case I'm planning on re-applying next year if need be but was really hoping to get in this year.
Any input would be awesome. Thanks for your feedback guys!
