Thanks to everyone who responded to my earlier post about the personal essay. Your advice is so appreciated!

I just have another question because I want to send out my application by this week. I don't know whether I should include my old DAT scores or not because they are VERY low 🙁

I am retaking the DAT at the end of August because I just enrolled for a Kaplan course in July. When I took the DAT the first time, I ran out of time for almost every section and I left so many blanks since I took so long doing all the calculations for chem and math section. So hopefully the kaplan course will teach me how to manage my time better.

So my question is...should I even bother putting down my old scores since I probably would be rejected right away once they see it and just write down my future DAT test date? I mean they probably will see my old score once I submit the new ones but is it worth the risk putting the old scores in when I submit my application this week? I need some advice please

theres only 1 spot on AADSAS for scores. you could enter your scores but then also enter a future date for taking the DAT. if you do well, then it will show that you know your stuff.

regardless, i'm 99% sure that the official DAT report sent to schools shows every DAT you've taken.

by not putting your current DAT scores, you will look pretty sketchy to d-schools when they receive your new scores and see that you didn't even mention your first scores.

therefore, enter your current DAT scores and also your future test date. they will not reject you outright if they see that you are retaking the exam.

good luck,
jb!🙂
