Hey man, I'm sorry to say this but I would retake if I were you 😳. 1) PAT is usually a bonus score for adcoms (all things being equal) and you didn't do to hot in that. I know of others that have gotten interviews with a 13 PAT but their other scores were acceptable. 2) QR nobody should really care about so this really isn't THE score that killed you. 3) RC and Biology are highly looked at by adcoms and you should be proud of yourself for doing so well in those sections. Those are actually really nice scores, especially your bio👍. 4) Your GC and OC sections are both quite low which I think hurt you the most because it destroys your TS and AA scores together. So in answer to your question, yes I would retake. Looking on the bright side, you did really well in the sections that most DS's look at with a lot of weight. I would simply retake if I were you and just really concentrate on getting your PAT abilities, OC & GC scores up. The rest isn't TOO bad. But who knows, if you have a solid (and I mean solid) GPA you could get in. Just don't get discouraged and work your trash off to get a higher score in the sections I outlined and I think you'll do great! Good luck with everything, work harder in preparation for the DAT and you will succeed!

Unfortunately, I have to agree. Those scores are not going to cut it. I noticed that you are coming over from taking the MCAT, and your two lowest sections were from material that is not covered on that test. Are you sure you gave yourself enough time to prepare for the DAT? It looks like you only had few weeks to prepare, which can be enough if you are already getting good scores on practice tests initially, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. It looks like you're going to need to wait until the next cycle because these scores are just not going to be competitive, and 3 months from now is not going to be soon enough to get you in on time. If you are really committed to dentistry, give yourself the proper tools to succeed and really prepare yourself. Good luck.

You definitely have some solid scores from which you can build. Your Bio was great and I don't think it would be too hard for you to improve your chemistry scores if you wanted to. If they looked just at your TS and AA, you def have a shot, but if they see the breakdown of scores or if they look at your PAT, it's really going to hurt you -- if not kill you. Sorry to say it.

i would retake...i am sorry but i dont see any adcom accepting those score but hey none of us are adcoms. start practicing the pat and getting stronger with the sciences. if you havent applied this cycle dont make yourself a really goood applicant next cycle instead of a late applicant this one.
