I took DAT last year and will take it again this year.
Should I..
1. list both scores on AADSAS and send both of the official score to schools/AADSAS?
2. list both socres on AADSAS but send only the second score to schools/AADSAS
3. list and send only the second score

You HAVE to send the scores to the individual schools through the ADA. On that score sheet they list all of the scores. As far as I know you can put whatever you want down on the AADSAS as most schools only look at the ADA transcript (but it's best not to lie...).

im still confused....
so u r saying...if i request to send the second DAT score, ADA will send out all of the scores (this year and last year)?

after u take DAT, u request to send ur score to additional schools and pay money, right? do i have to do that again for the first DAT? i don't mind listing both of the scores on AADSAS, but i'd to save money if i can by sending out only the second score.

Yes, ADA will send out all of the scores.

No, you don't have to do it again for the first DAT. Take the DAT a second time, list the 5 or so 'free' schools and then pay the money to send them to any additional schools you are applying to. You only have to send out the second score, but your first score will automatically be listed on there as well.

Good luck applying!

got it!!!

thank you!!!

It shouldn't matter much what you put on AADSAS, you can even leave it blank if you like. When request scores to be sent, ADA will send both new and old scores anyways.

Having both scores is a positive thing, mostly. Many schools will take the highest score from each area and recalculate you "DAT" score accordingly. This is what happened to me after taking the DAT three times. I got in because I had high enough scores with a combination of all DAT scores.
