DAT Scores

the RC score will hurt you a little since it will be lower than the average for most schools, but other than that you have really strong scores. id say (and heres my warning that my opinion is completely unwarranted since i havent actually applied yet) you look pretty strong for enough schools to get more than one acceptance as long as you dont fudge the interview.

Do you know some schools that really do care about RC and some that are a little easier on that?

couldnt tell ya bro. im kinda hoping its more based on academic average (which takes RC into account) and total science rather than the individual scores themselves. the school stats in the ADEA guide are listed based on AA, TS, and PAT. I didnt find any listing of individual averages and most schools' websites stick to only listing those 3 when they list anything at all. this is what leads me to believe they only really heavily consider those 3 instead of the other individual scores.

Research based schools generally like good Sci GPA and TS. I have RC 17 and i got into two research based schools (Actually the only two schools where i went for my interview).

If this is true then you just made my night since my top choice is a research school. its time for bed now before something ruins my day again, lol

Could you list some research based schools that you are aware of, and, if you don't mind, what were the two research based schools you got into?(congrats!)

Harvard likes high RC scores; they mention it somewhere on their website. They did a study a few years back that showed the strongest correlation between RC score and the first board exam. I also remember one other school that likes high RC in particular, but the name escapes me at the moment.

Plenty of schools just regard it as a threshold score though.

Nice scores ... I think youll be alright. You might want to give your schools a call and ask about your RC
