I just recently took the DAT and I got the following scores:

QR 14
Perception 16
Biology 18
Gen Chem 17
Reading 20
and Orgo 22

I have a 3.7 GPA and I was wondering what my chances look like and if I should even apply.

if i had to guess, id say her AA was 18 and TS was a 19. A 14 QR and a 16 PAT are big red flags - you can try applying if you want, but I am not sure how successful that would be. I suggest a retake.

Your not even in yet, I suggest you don't give advice to what you have not yet accomplished.

Just apply and see what happens

one does not "just apply" for the fun of it - it involves a LOT of work and definitely a LOT of money. and me not being in yet has nothing to do with what is common knowledge - do you even realize how competitive dental school admissions are becoming? you don't have to believe me - go ask any member on this forum who has been accepted or is in dental school and they will tell you the same thing.
to the OP, clearly there is nothing stopping to from applying with a 3.7 GPA, but all i'm saying is your chances become very slim with a 14 QR (even though its the least important section, a 14 is too low) and a 16 PA. you can still apply this cycle and retake the DATs later on (like august) - i think a lot of people do that.

You can check out studentdoctor.net and see what all the dental schools in the US are requiring in order to have a good chance to get in. From what I saw your scores are a little low compared to the average. With your 3.7 and a better DAT score you will have a really good chance to get into some really good places. Take the DAT again in august. How did you study for the DAT? What books did you use?
