Hey guys,

does anyone who has taken the dat know the format of each section?
for example in the Sciences, are you given 90 Minutes to complete all three and able to jump in between sections? Or is each section individual and timed for 30 minutes?

If anyone can reach out with a breakdown of sections and times that would be awesome.

thanks.
J

DAT Testing Schedule
Optional Tutorial 15 minutes
Survey of Natural Sciences 90 minutes
Perceptual Ability Test 60 minutes
Scheduled Break (optional) 15 minutes
Reading Comprehension Test 60 minutes
Quantitative Reasoning Test 45 minutes
Optional Post Test Survey 15 minutes
Total Time 5 hours

The questions for the natural sciences are all together one after another in one block of time (same goes for the 6 different PAT section questions), first 40 are bio followed by 30 chem and then 30 ochem.

So just to clarify, if you finish natural science section with time left over it won't be "rolled-over" to the PAT section?

The full-length tests of DAT Achiever simulate exactly in this order, even the buttons and test layout look and feel like you would see at the testing center. But you probably would not finish an Achiever test in time because of its much harder questions which could both be a drawback and a booster to make you work harder. Just my 2 cent!
