So I'm writing the DAT in 2 weeks or so... and trying to figure out where I stand/ how to improve in some of my weaknesses. I am most concerned about RC and QR!

So I'll start off with my troubles:

QR - never did a practice test yet, been going through math destroyer for the first time and am struggling with time. So I stopped timing myself although it takes me almost an hour and 30 min to finish it...

RC - my weakest, CDR - avg 19, so i stopped using search and destroy...
TopScore test 1 - RC - 23

CDP - averaging 22-23 with 55 min (only did first 7 tests)

BIO - qVault - avg 22

2007 ADA Chem - 27/30

I have been over dat destroyer for everything and am doing my 2nd round for orgo and 3rd fro chem and bio. I am getting very few questions wrong. But have never done a practice test for orgo and do not know which one I should use or start off with...

Sry for the unorganization, first 'breakdown' ...

thanks!

I had very similar scores to you for RC and I was fine. Just read the passages and answer the questions normally.

For math destroyer, I did a test in the morning then redid the test while looking at the answer at night, every other day till D-day. Make sure to memorize the conversions!! yd>ft, m>miles, ft>miles, etc.

Sounds like you're light years ahead of me...I have less time until D-day and didn't do as much destroyer. My CrDAT average is 20-21 and I just broke into 22.

For math (my weakest section) I found that skipping hard or lengthy math questions and going to easy ones helped me a lot. I went through all of math destroyer and purchased qvault math. I love qvault math because it hones in on your weak areas and you can practice just those. I've definitely gotten quicker and I just hope to get an above average math score on the real deal.

ya i don't skip questions but i don't see myself finishing it if i continue to not do that. how does math destroyer (in terms of difficulty and time) compare to the real dat? i will start my second review of math soon so i hope that i get it. also for chem and orgo which resources are good to see where u stand? been doing destroyer but after awhile you know the patterns for the questions etc...

thanks!

I think the consensus here is Topscore for practice exams and math destroyer is harder but very representative.
I think with the entire test, you have to mark, guess and move on if you don't think you get it or can do it within a certain time. If you have time after doing all of the easy ones then go back and try a few that you marked. This way you don't miss easy ones at the end of the exam.
