Hey guys,

I'm using cliff AP Bio for bio sections and CDP for PAT, and chad's video for ochem, and I also have DAT Destroyer the basic edition.

I was just wondering if purchasing additional chads videos for gen. chem and QR would be worth it.

Also, I will take suggestions for preparing for RC section.

Thank you!

Chads for GC is worth it for sure. if chad's was $150, I would still have paid that much just for GC.

For QR.. I'd go with a good algebra book and some online trig review (khanacademy is good). I don't think many of the resources people pay a lot of money for are that good (esp. math destroyer).

For RC, just read a lot of scientific articles. Getting good at reading higher level material will only benefit you in the long run. And you don't have to worry about getting stuck during RC trying a technique like S&D.

Chad's for OC and GC + Destroyer will almost guarantee you a 20+ for the chem sections, provided you pay attention, take great notes and do the online quizzes. Go over Destroyer at least once, but preferably twice and learn from your mistakes.

For QR, Chad teaches the basics, but I agree with Soleus, you may be better off just watching Khan Academy videos. I would disagree about Math Destroyer however. Although it's quite difficult, it presents a number of different problems that you may see on the QR portion. Memorize the equations in the front of the book and then practice, practice, practice to get your timing down. The real QR section will be much easier, but after going through Math Destroyer you should be able to breeze right through it and get a 20+.

For RC, practice reading a lot of scientific articles. Then utilize the free RC tests on Bootcamp and Qvault. I would never attempt the search and destroyer method. I read the entire passage, took small notes along the way and then answered the questions with a few minutes to spare.

Look through Destroyer and your Gen chem textbooks before you spend any more money. You will still refer to them regardless.
For RC, just read an article per day from NY times, Scientific American, WSJ or Huffington post. This will increase your RC skills.

if you are weak on GC and you forgot a lot from your undergrade class, chad's video will help you gain confidence on it. and practice problems from bootcamp will help you also.

Also, if you want to overkill it, DAT destroyer is a really good prep material. Not all of the concepts tested on it will be on the real exam, but if you know and can destroy the DAT destroyer, you will destroy the real thing.
