Has anyone done Kaplan, if so, how much did it improve your score?

How much time should I study before I take the exam? (# of weeks or # of months)

When is the best time (I want to be one of those early lucky ones) in the applying process to take the DAT?

Kaplan is good, but suplement it with Shaums outlines if you can devote a bit more time to studying. Take advantage of the practice tests from Kaplan, but try the Scholarware Top Score Pro tests too. I don't remember exactly how long the Kap course was... but if you study hard, I don't see why you couldn't be ready by July. Schedual your DAT now so that you have an established deadline. By the time you start taking those practice tests, you'll be surprized by how much your score increase. Good luck!

Kaplan was great for me, since I have been out of school for a few yeras. It motivated me to plan my studying. Also, the practice test really helped me to figour out what areas I needed to improve.

Kaplan can only show you the way, and the rest is up to you.

That's difficult to tell unless you've taken the DAT once without using Kaplan, then retook it after using Kaplan.

Even in that situation I believe that having the DAT under your belt once will benefit the test-taker the second time around, thus raising the score a bit.

I did Kaplan, in February and havent studied much since, I need to though, Im taking the test this June.

I took DAT before having taken science classes, I did mediocre. I took Kaplan, I went to Kaplan class twice. I finished taking science classes, I re-took DAT, I did pretty solid. I wish I saved the money from Kaplan for weed/alcohol/Lindsay Lohan/other vices.
