  1. Pre-Dental
I apologize if this question has been asked a million times, but I'm pretty new to the whole DAT process and just checked a Kaplan course syllabus. On the first day they are reviewing Physics I. I was 99% sure Physics was not on the DAT at all! Is this a mistake on the website or am I missing something?

I'm planning on taking the DAT in early June, after Chem I, II, Bio I, II and O-Chem I (I'm having intense tutoring for the O-Chem II portion since I will not have finished that course yet.) Does anyone know when the dates of the DAT are? I thought it was offered pretty frequently, like the GRE?

I'm applying this summer for 2008 entry, and I'm a non-trad student (graduated college in 2004 with a communications degree and have been working in the software field since.)

Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Forgot to mention I also completed Physics I.

Hmmm... are you sure you aren't in an MCAT course? I don't know how Kaplan works bc I opted not to take the course ($$$) but I can tell you 100% that last April (2006) there was NO physics on the exam.

There is no physics on the DAT, the kaplan course syllabus was probably for the MCAT. They do not go over physics in the DAT course.

The Dat is offered essentially every day depending on which test center you register for.

When I took the Kaplan course for the DAT it was combined with students who were taking the OAT. This is the optomotry test. THey take physics. So on the first day the class was split. The DAT students reviewed PAT material and the OAT students went off to do physics. The rest of the subjects on the two tests were the same so we met together.

munch 22 is right. I didn't take kaplan but they tried to sign me up couple of times 🙂 so, when OAT people review physics, you are going to be doing PAT.
