Hi everyone,

I am a senior at UW and planning onto take the DAT in spring. I saw very good reviews on using the DAT bootcamp and the orgoman website ( DAT & MATH destroyer). I needed some advice on if l should upgrade the boot camp subscription? I am little bit doubting because I am planning to take the exam next year and the subtraction will only last for 90 days. Please feel free to send some suggestions and recommendations.

Thanks

Definitely wait until you are closer to your exam date. Start practicing with some of the generators though to build your PAT skills. Good luck!

Well what do you have to lose if you start familiarizing yourself with the DAT? So yea, bootcamp seems like a good idea for many reasons.

I would try to time the use of practice resources closer to your exam. If you want to start studying now it's fine, but I would restrict that mostly to content review and PAT practice. The risk of doing practice tests and questions now (and again later when you're getting closer to the exam date) is that you'll start to remember the questions/answers from having seen them before and they'll no longer be an accurate measure of weak areas for improvement.

I second what @DDSDCMUU said.

I am finishing up last minute details on Dr. Romano's DAT Guide and Study Syllabus. You will find that very helpful prior to using any test prep materials.

Feel free to pm and I will send you the direct link when it is available.

Good luck

Dr. Romano

OP, I agree with everyone on here, you should definitely use bootcamp to practice the PAT, so it's not such a shock. I also think that test #6-10 are excellent for content review because the biology part has some really good mnemonic. And you want to pinpoint your weak spots, so you can master those while studying. In fact, research shows how important it is to do that. Guess what else? my cousin's boyfriend's friend, who looks like Zac Efron, told me that Bootcamp was soo much like the real DAT. Good Luck!
