Hey guys...

I know it is still early in the cycle, but I am beginning to get worried because I still have not heard for an interview at my state school (MD). I've had 2 interviews at that school in the past 2 years... and waitlisted both years. I retook my DATs on Aug. 29th and faxed them my new scores on September 1st. I received an email back in july from them saying they received my app and that they were just waiting for my new DAT scores. Last week I received another email from them basically asking me what I've been up to since the last year I applied to MD. I REALLY want to attend this school more than anything... what do you guys think?

Hi Rubber, this is what is most likely going on. Even though you have faxed them your DAT scores, your file is still not in review until official scores are received. It takes 3-4 weeks for your scores to be processed by ADA. Once that's that, you request your scores to be sent out, and it takes another week or two for them to get your official DAT electronic scores from ADA. Interviews should be coming once official scores are received. Many of the secondaries I received asked for official scores and that interviews would not be extended once they had been received from ADA.

Also, called your top school and ask them if they received your faxed copy and what you should be doing now. Ask them if there is anything missing, it could be that your faxed copy is somewhere in their office, who knows with the amount of paper info they are getting.

Hope this helps, dont panic.

Not sure where you got your information, and it certainly may be different for each school, but I have spoken directly to a dean of admissions and he told me they were able to get official DAT scores electronically around 1 week after taking the test.

so this morning I received another email from MD and apparently they never received the email that I had already sent them a week ago...

Last week they sent me an email asking what I have been up to as far as improving my app since the previous cycle... and I responded literally the same day. A week later (today), I get the same email from them and so I called the school and apparently they never received my email. I was told with all the confusion of me having been interviewed twice already... it might have been overlooked or possibly placed in the wrong folder. Thankfully, the situation has been resolved and in retrospect I am happy that I got the email again otherwise I would have still been sitting in the dark wondering why I haven't heard anything from them. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason.
