DAT taking date question

I am planning on to take the test this coming june for first time but im worried if I do bad on my first try I have to wait certain amount of time to retake the test right? I am going to apply as soon as the applications open but I heard as the process is rolling you dont have to send dat scores till end of July. You will be considered as still applied early if you just have your application in early without DAT score.

Is this correct?

Let's put it this way: You can submit your application w/o your DAT scores and "apply early". However, admission committees won't even look at your application until all of the required information (ie: DAT scores) is in.
My application was not complete until the beginning of September and I think I was put at a disadvantage because of that. Get your application complete ASAP!
