DAT test date and should I reschedule

Hey everybody. I am Turning in my application for the 2013 cycle here in the next day or so. My DAT is pending because I have not taken it yet and I have it scheduled for the 21st of Aug. I didn't plan on applying this cycle but I was talked into it so I feel kinda rushed and I feel like I'm turning everything in a bit late. I don't feel like I'm gonna be ready for the DAT by the time the 21st rolls around but I don't know how long I have until I cant take it anymore. Anyone know if i should reschedule it to a later date. And what is the deadline before I can not take the test for the 2013 cycle anymore.

If I take it on the 21st. im guessing ill get a 17 or 18AA at best.

Why do you say your application is late? Isn't the deadline like Jan 1 for most places?

Not officially late but I have heard many times that you want everything in before august and it will improve your acceptance chances greatly. So when I say late I mean to have the best chances to get interviews/acceptance.

So I figured out that I can take the DAT all the way up until December. I plan on moving it back to mid October. hypothetically if I take it Aug 21st ill get around a 17 average. If I take it in Oct ill probably get a 20. do you guys think it is worth moving back to a much later date if that is the case. MY application is average in most areas and better than average in a couple so my whole application is not riding on a great DAT score like someone with a below 3.5 GPA. reschedule YAY or Nay?
