I am new in this Forum. I wonder how long do I need to prepare the DAT test usually to get a score above 20.

do some research. prob 6-8 weeks of hardcore studying. some people could pull it off in 4 weeks...

I am just curious that people just study by themselves or they are study with any programs like Kaplan?

A lot of people in these forums self-study, and a lot of people who don't frequent these forums do the Kaplan/Princeton review course. In my opinion, what you put into your studying is what you'll get out of it. The only difference is that Kaplan costs $2000 and self-study costs far less.

My opinion is it all depends on how you are when it comes to studying. Do you study 2 days before a test and ace it, or do you need 2 weeks?

By word of mouth, Kaplan courses are only good because of the given material and if you don't have the ounce of will to set up your own study regimen. That's just my 2 cents though.
