I'm currently a second year undergrad on the 5 year plan, when should I take the DAT and apply for dental schools?

since you are doing the 5 year plan, take it next year sometime during your 3rd year.

It is best to take as many core science courses before you take the DAT. If you take it next year you'll have some time if a retake is needed.

Good luck.

DiscoBalls..Ha ha ha funny 👎 ...I'm not red-shirted. I've just changed my majors alot before deciding on dentistry. And even with the change of majors I can still graduate within 4 years I just don't want to stress myself out. Therefore thats why I'm taking my time with these science course so I can get A's instead of B's and C's.

Thanks Team🙂

Take it your 3rd or 4th year. DAT scores only last 2 years I think, so definitely avoid taking it too early.
