I'm completing my undergraduate degree in Canada.

From the looks of the competitiveness of Canadian dental schools, I know I'll be applying to the US. As of right now, the USA is where I'm hoping to get into.

My question:

How should I space out when to take the Canadian DAT / DAT?

Should I only take one or the other?

Is studying for one sufficient to do well on the other?

How different are the two in terms of difficulty?

Up to you.

You need the cDAT for all Canadian schools. Some US schools will not accept the cDAT and some CAN schools will not accept the aDAT.

You still have QR and OC on the aDAT. Then you have MDT(carving) on the cDAT, which only a hand full of schools still look at.

How different are the two in terms of difficulty?
The study materials for the two are the same, and the test I've heard is about the same for the BIO, CHEM, and RC. Difficulty is relative, as each aDAT test is different from every other aDAT, and likewise for the cDAT, and thus you are 'ranked' by percentile.
