so after my lackluster scores in Nov 2017, I signed up to rewrite the DAT Feb 2018.
Now, I have an interview in February to my top school, MMI style. (NOV DAT- RC: 25, Chem: 23, Bio: 22, PAT: 19, AA: 23)

Has anyone been in this position before? Should I skip my DAT and just practice for the interview? Should I still rewrite my DAT in February in case I don't get into my #1 school? (My second school accepts Feb 2018 DAT in this application cycle)

This is such a weird position to be in, I don't want to screw up on my next DAT and have that sent if it needs to be next year, even though both schools I'm applying to only look at the highest overall DAT. I also can't get any money back at this point.

What lackluster scores? Everything looks good regarding your scores. I'm not exactly sure what you're aiming for... I'd almost skip the DAT just because you risk scoring worse the second time. Even if schools only "look" at the highest overall DAT score, they'll still see both scores

I think there's a way to not send the score to a school. They would only consider the highest score, so even if a person sees it all goes into a magical algorithm somewhere.

I'm an idiot. Skipping the DAT, focusing on my interview skills. Thanks for weighing in, guys!

I personally don’t think a 19 PAT will break your application. 19 is still a good score and shows that you’re capable of manipulating 3D objects in your head.
