I purchased a packet of books from ebay

and i got the 2007 TOP SCORE; The gold standard science DVD review DAT (videos); the gold standard flash cards for mcat, and 2001 gold standard mcat science review book...

whats the difference between DAT and MCAT? just the physics part of the test?

if i am studying with these what would be the best way to study with them?

I bought all this for 250 was it a good buy?

thanks guys!

i am a noob so help me out! thank you again

are you applying to dental school or medical school? You probably only need 1 set of study materials for the specific test that you are planning to take...

it sounds like you spent a lot. just dont tell your dad you used his cc. if you want more material message me 🙂

MCAT: writing, physics
DAT: perceptual, math, ******ed plant bio

Honetsly i would not waste my time w/ the mcat stuff. There are a lot of passages parts where you read a passage and then answer medical/science questions based on that. Also, even though they cover same topics, its a different testing style and from the study materials/books for the mcat i have seen since taking the dat would really not help. Topscore and kakplan DAT blue book is what i would recommend. In the book, find topics you dont know and go from there. I have some old practice tests from 3 years ago. I will be more than happy to send them to you (email), but i dont know how much the material has changed. PM me if you want them.

The MCAT was SO MUCH easier for me than the DAT was...

I dont know what people are smoking when they say the MCAT is the hardest test there is.... The DAT was the worst experience of my life.

The MCAT was a walk in the park..

DAT score = 21 Time spent studying = 4 months
MCAT score = 32 Time spent studying = the day before the test... literally

And what do you want to do??😀

you're an idiot, regardless of your scores. this post was asking about study material.

btw, 21/30 = 32/45.

I think his point was that 4 months >> "1" day.

regardless....why would someone take both and that too if he did good on one of them??
btw which one did u take first??may be you studied the science section your a** off for 4 months but took the DAT first and you reviewed all those material in one day for MCAT....and so 21/30 = 32/45 makes sense.

To the OP: I think some exam kracker books could be very helpful in preparing for the DAT. Just be warned that the DAT covers more topics in the sciences.

let's all be nice 🙂

Frankly, I would focus on materials specifically for the DAT. The Kaplan book is decent, TopScore Pro is very good, DAT Destroyer has a great reputation. Check out the DAT forum for more info. In fact, I think I'll move this thread over there.
