DAT: Which is more important: Knowledge of material/info vs. methodology

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Knowledge of material.
The test is multiple choice..... so you click the letter that correlates to the right answer. Also none of the "none/all of the above" stuff. Not much to the method of attack.

^^^exactly like the above. Knowing your material will undoubtedly help you mark off the other answers. not much to know about methodology. If you're talkin about the PAT portion...then the angle section, block counting and the hole punching.

If you don't know the info then you will not do good.

"Methodology" is basically common sense. You should already have it.

If there is anything that teaching for 2 years has taught me, it's that common sense is HIGHLY variable...lol.

Trust me when I say that a lot of people do not "already have it".

Which is more important: Knowledge of material/info OR methodology of how to attack questions on the DAT?

Methodology is EXTREMELY important for: PAT, QR, and RC (depending on how fluent and fast you read)

Methodology is not nearly as important (a little) for the sciences.

"Yes" is pretty much the perfect answer to the question, as stated above.👍
