What is the best way to apply this year and take the DAT without Ochem? I have Ochem scheduled for the upcoming school year. Should I take the DAT w/o Ochem and then retake later? How do I explain my poor Ochem score? Should I wait to take DAT later? Will it automatically disqualify me for consideration? What is the best way to proceed in this circumstance? This is the only thing that is stopping me from submitting my application.

unless you are able to teach yourself ochem I wouldn't go in there blind. The ochem is almost 1/3 of your total sci. score and that is prob. the most important section on the test.

Good luck taking the DAT without Ochem...and good luck teaching it to yourself in time to take the DAT and apply for 08...

You are better off just waiting a year...if you haven't had Ochem, chances are there are lots of other classes you havent had that you will want to have had before starting Dschool anyways
