it's me again

i'm so worried about the DAT test which i will have to take in my Junior year in UIC.

at the CC i go to, i took Bio 1, Chem 1,2 , Human Anatomy & Physiology 1
and will take Bio 2, HA&P 2 for the coming semester which is my last semester at the college ( yey)

i know i haven't taken any physics or org chem classes and that is stressing me out!

classes i must take as soon as i enter UIC will be Org Chem and Physics, i have no idea how hard they're gonna be, i'm just so scared!

do you think i'll be pretty much ready for the DAT after my first semester as a junior?

That depends on how well your school taught the information and if they covered exactly what was on the DAT. You will need to study outside of those classes and look at DAT material to know what the test focuses on the most. At least for me, I had to study strictly DAT material to learn the material. My classes alone would have scored me probably all 12's on the DAT if I was lucky.

You won't need physics for the DAT as it is not covered. Organic, on the other hand, you will need. If you really want to take the DAT first before you complete the course there is some good news: everything that you will need to know for that particular section on the DAT is covered in Kaplan's Blue Book. I've known a couple of people that sat down with the book and memorized that section and made a point of understanding each concept and they did fine in that area. Also, pretty much everything (except for a few details) that you will be tested over is usually covered in the first semester or first two quarters of organic chem classes. So if you are really nervous about it don't wait a full year, having just one term of organic under your belt will serve you well. Best of luck!

thank u guys and let me ask you guys a quick question

is it really that hard in a univ? I'm at a 2 year institution right now and will be graduating this May. I will transfer to UIC this fall and i'm scared how hard the classes are going to be and how bad they could freak me out.

i will have to take physics and org chem for my first year in UIC as a junior.

It's not as hard as you think. If you keep up with the work, you can do it! 🙂
