Dat

The only formal math that you need for the DAT is pre-calculas, either college pre-calc or AP pre-calc from high school.

The key to doing well on the QR section is learning a ton of "tricks" that quickly nails problems without a calculator, and a ton of practice problems. The QR section moves so fast that you really don't have time to figure out how to do problems, you already need to know how solve a ton of different types of problems.

I just kept doing Kaplan and Barrons QR practice problems over and over again until it became second nature how to solve about 40 different types of problems.

It was actually primarily math from my freshman year of high school...
just algebra. You probably won't need a class to prep for it...just review the DAT books, unless you like math and want to take a class of course...

I am a freshman in college and I was wondering what math classes should I take in college to prepare me for the DAT?😕

Wait... there was math on the DAT??!!! no wonder I only got a 19... its that damn 12 on the math!! ARRGG... if only I had read this post last year!!!

i'd say a specific math class can't really help on the overall math section of DAT cause it's a conglomeration of a bunch of stuff... if you were well off on SAT math i wouldn't worry too much... i've taken math upto Calc 3 but all i find useful in DAT is the tricks i learned back in high school.. like SOH CAH TOA
