Reading MSAR and trying to decide which schools to apply to. It seems that stats (GPA, MCAT) for accepted students are all pretty high with a median score of 32 on MCAT. Is there data that shows scores for students that actually attend?
yea sorry msar is accepted. Check their websites for class profiles.
I've seen this brought up a lot on SDN, but I still can't think of an answer 😳
Why are some people interested in matriculant data? Shouldn't the accepted data be most important to get better idea of your chances at that school? Or is there some other reason people are interested in that type of data?

because people with higher stats tend to hold multiple acceptances. this tendency skews the accepted data upwards. so even if a school accepts people with a 3.8/36 mcat, their matriculant average might be 3.6/33 or something like that since many of those students will choose a more highly ranked school.
MSAR is definitely ACCEPTED

No.No.No.
MSAR is matriculant info. It says quite plainly on the acceptance info tab: "Matriculant Data for First Year Class."
USNews gives the accepted data.
There is also a difference in the format used. MSAR uses medians, while USNews uses means.

the msar gives statistics for accepted students, not matriculants.
I could've sworn MSAR was accepted data as well. at least last year. Did this just change?
