I recently received an interview invite and was wondering if you guys knew whether or not it would be more advantageous for me to schedule it in october versus waiting until november. Does the date of interview make a difference in improving chances of acceptance? Either way it would be before Dec. 1 so I was thinking that it didn't really matter when I interviewed, but if needed I could move my interview into october sometime (i'm currently scheduled for nov. 12). Please let me know what you all think.

It doesn't make a difference because both those dates are well before december 1st. If it were closer like the end of november, the committee might not meet before december 1st acceptances go out but I think your good with nov. 12th.

It will make a diff. if the school uses rolling admission or not, I dont know how much though. Also, in my opinion the earlier the better, I think the more people they interview the more everyone kinda looks the same. I have NOTHING to base this opinion on though...

Overall, I'd say as long as your interview is before late November/December 1st you're in as good of a position as possible. I wouldn't stress about a November 12th interview vs. an october interview.

I guess two different arguments could be made if you really wanted to over analyze the situation, haha
1) The earlier the interview, the better... maybe if you get a really early interview, it means that they want you really bad. Or it could just mean you applied early
2)The closer the interview is to late november, the better... they might remember you more than the ones at the very beginning of the interview cycle.

If the November interview is a good date for you, just keep it... I highly doubt there'd really be any difference
