okay i am worried about the reading comprehension section on the DAT, because I am generally one of the students that did bad on reading questions during high school. While everything else was great. I was wondering if practicing with all of these programs will help me achieve a good score or at least average. Crack DAT reading? Achiever? TopScore? I am also wondering is there anyone in the same situation as I am?

In the same boat as you... I'm prepping by testing out different strategies, and repeating the strategies. My main problem is if I really "read read" the passage I run out of time. Repetition of your desired strategy should help maximize both your time spent on the RCT on the real DAT and the # of correct answers.

I don't want to mislead you... I haven't taken my dat yet... two weeks to go ... but I said "I'm prepping" as in currently... and using CDR. Most who have already taken the DAT suggest trying out a variety of strategies and continuously working at the one you find best... just general advice I picked up from reading previous threads. Sorry my opinion isn't as credible as one who took the DAT, but you can research similar threads about the RCT written by those who have previously taken the DAT and you'll see what I'm talking about. Best of luck!

Thanks! I still have a long way to go until taking my DAT. So I will just read some strategies and try each one and see which one will lead me to a better score. Thanks!
